Paint a pumpkin with a stencil

A printed stencil can help you transfer a design onto a pumpkin before you paint it.

Prepare your pumpkin

Choose a smooth surface. Wipe the pumpkin clean and let it dry before painting.

Print a stencil, tape it in place, and trace the outline onto the pumpkin with a pencil.

Fill the larger shapes first. Let the paint dry before adding smaller details.
